Protestors rally outside Capitol building in St. Paul

Some unwelcome guests were battling for the spotlight at this week's Republican National Convention. Hundreds of protestors converged near the State Capitol in St. Paul, hoping to disrupt the event. Our Erin Billups was there, and has more now from Minnesota.

McCain formally accepts GOP nomination

John McCain gets a hero's welcome Thursday night as he accepted the Republican nomination in St. Paul. He vowed to clean up Washington and keep the country safe. Now, both he and rival Barack Obama head into what promises to be a hotly contested general election fight. Molly Kroon has more.

Media weighs in on Palin

The highlight of Wednesday night at the convention was the Governor Palin’s speech. Reporters doing double covering RNC, DNC

This year, the democrats didn't want to have to compete with the Olympics for viewers and potential voters, so they scheduled their convention in late August, right before the Republican National Convention.
